The sharp verses of a woman's voice attracted attention through the song "Mandume", released by Emicida in 2015. It was Drik Barbosa, a young rapper who showed her freestyle skills in Batalha do Santa Cruz. Born in São Paulo, Drik (pronounced Drika) has been composing since the age of 14. She also shows personality on stage through her strength.
Because she goes beyond rhymes, she has been invited several times to sing the chorus of some rap songs. Thus, she participated in tracks by artists such as Flow MC, Amiri, Marcello Gugu, Projota and DJ Caique. In 2013, she collaborated alongside Emicida on the song "Aos Olhos de uma Criança", from the soundtrack of the film "O Menino e o World" - an animated feature by Alê Abreu. In 2018, however, the singer-songwriter dared to take the most solid step in her career. With the release of her EP “Espelho”, the transitions between rap and R&B only become clear.
Under the musical direction of Grou, the work received four tracks and is released by the label Laboratório Fantasma. Special features, which have contributed to the success of the project, would be Rincon Sapiência and Stefanie Roberta. The Paulistana dropped her first solo album in 2019, which was produced with the support of Natura Musical. She announced the first (and strong) taste of this new project with her single "Quem Tem Joga", in which she fell into the funk alongside singer Karol.
