Wicked Dub Divison meets North East Ska Jazz Orchestra

The North-East of Italy is a border area, it is natural here to be connected with each other. In these territories music
scenes are naturally born, inspired by the wonderful surrounding area, made up of woods, rivers, enchanted towns,
mountains and openings towards the sea. Music in these places gains a precious space, full of special encounters and
connections. The music scene of this Italian region has been brewing for years. More specifically Jamaican music, Reggae, Ska and Dub are making their way as a principal mode of expression for bands, sound systems, and indeed entire orchestras. It is this energy, this desire to experiment and get involved, that has made this ambitious project possible.

you can’t miss!

Sixteen Musicians, a very powerful horn section, a dub rhythm section and three singers together on the same stage. The intent is to create a unique show, where each reality can express itself in its own language, until it merges into a single
explosive sound. A real Dub orchestra in which the strength of the big band blends with the heavy and psychedelic step
of dub music. A succession of pressing rhythms and at the same time dilated and hypnotic sounds in which the horn
section becomes the background and creative element in the hands of the dub master.

Wicked Dub Division and North East Ska Jazz Orchestra began to collaborate in 2017 when the video clip of Mama
(single produced by "Unemployment Records” on vinyl) was released on Reggaeville. A special reinterpretation of Roots
& Wings, a song featured on the second Wicked Dub Division album, rearranged for winds and for the three voices of
Michela Grena, Rosa Mussin and Freddy Frenzy, who helped unite these two projects. The video, produced and shot by
director Luca Bragagnolo, has exceeded 19 million views on YouTube. A few years later, the new single You Can Fly,
which has exceeded 2 million views, was also released on Reggaeville.

The bands’ first album, Live Studio Session #1, recorded live in June 2021, is out on CD and vinyl for the label Brixton
Records.
