Manudigital is a beatmaker, bassist and sought-after music producer on the international Reggae/Dub scene. He started his career as a bassist for several bands such as Babylon Circus, before focusing on production and creating a hybrid music infused with his multiple influences, from Reggae and all its sub-genres, to Electro/Bass Music passing by Jungle or Drum & Bass.
Since his solo debuts with the albums “Digital Pixel” (2016) and “Bass Attack”(2018), he also released a plethora of EPs and collaborative projects, surrounding himself with artists from all over the world such as Alborosie, L’Entourloop, Alo Wala, Skarra Mucci, Liam Bailey and Soom T to name just a few. With more than 800 shows performed all over the globe, Manudigital is known for his live performances during which he mixes his bassist and beatmaker skills to create a unique experience. Today, he is considered as one of the most influential Reggae producers. His 2019 Tour has been listed among the Top 10 of the Bureau Export's Live Export Awards.
As a federating artist, the French producer created the now cult “Digital Session” series available on his YouTube channel which gathers more than 200,000 subscribers and more than 75M views. Armed with his Casio MT40 keyboard or “Sleng Teng Keyboard”, he walks in the streets of Kingston, New York and London (new season coming) alongside legendary singers from the golden age of the Digital Reggae era. Capleton, Elephant Man, Queen Omega or Junior Cat all met Manudigital and his portable keyboard for a unique moment, a one-take session of one of their classics. These sessions gained international recognition and have been shared by the greatest names of the French and international scene such as Diplo, Pete Rock, Farruko, Mokobe, Kalash or AKH.
Among the millions of the “Digital Sessions” fans, one of them decided to contact Manudigital on social media: French crooner Bazbaz. This was followed by a few chats between the two artists, enough for the singer to propose to Manudigital to record a song… then came another song and finally an entire EP *#LOVEBORDEL*, recorded during the lockdown/pandemic period, released in 2022 and performed live on a tour. French music superstar Mathieu Chedid (-M-) had a crush on the EP and offered the duo to join him on stage for a few shows on his Zenith Tour.
In 2023, Manudigital is back with a new straight-to-the-point formula. He released in spring the track “Step Up Ft. Joseph Cotton & Bellyman,” taken from his upcoming eponymous album, in which he pushes further the fusion of Reggae and Bass Music while offering new beats and rhythms such as Afrobeat or Baile Funk, always with the mastery he is known for.
By exploring new musical genres, Manudigital makes a point of doing what he prefers: collaborating. That’s why we won’t be surprised “the most international of the French riddim makers” chose to invite no less than 17 artists from all horizons (Alborosie, Alo Wala, Liam Bailey, Skarra Mucci, Dynamq, Afu-Ra, Million Stylez…) laying their voices over the audacious productions of the French producer and fueling a well-packed address book that is worth its weight in gold.
2024 will be another memorable year for Manudigital, who is starting the *Next Step Tour* accompanied by his MC Dapatch.
