Berlin-based Ukrainian singer, songwriter, and producer GANNA creates music at the crossroads of Ukrainian folklore, electronica, jazz, and improvisation. Drawing on more than a decade of fieldwork, travel, and encounters with village singers across Ukraine, she reimagines ancestral songs and oral traditions as vivid, contemporary soundscapes.
Her acclaimed albums KUPALA (2023) and UTOPIA (2025) reflect this evolving vision. KUPALA was recognized among the best Ukrainian albums of the year, while UTOPIA, co-produced with Tomáš Kašpar and featuring musicians from jazz, traditional, and experimental music, was described by ARTE Journal as “a powerful uprising against hopelessness.”
In her solo performances, GANNA builds immersive compositions in real time, combining voice, loops, effects, samples, traditional instruments, and guitaret-synth. Rooted in Ukrainian heritage yet boldly contemporary, her music has reached international audiences through performances at WOMEX, ESNS, and Reeperbahn Festival.
