"Their gig, at the RNCM, was total madness: an absurd and absurdly brilliant mashup of jazz, blues, grunge, kitsch electronica and slapstick comedy (…)." Jazzwise Magazine (Manchester Jazz Festival 2016)

Their first fascinating album “Play Sun Ra” was rewarded Album of the Year at Victoire du Jazz! There was no need to make a second album. But then there came his dream... "While I rarely dream of music, one night I dreamt of this new album. I did not hear melodies but an energy from coiled up waves. I really heard what Supersonic was.”

“Sons of Love” was born this Night. The first album written by Thomas de Pourquery. In only one Month Thomas composed like a crazy-man!, The result is a declaration of love to all his heroes. Thomas called the band, those who joined him before and he told them about his dream and the album. Edward Perraud, Frederick Galiay, Roulin und Laurent Bardainne. Musicians who all have a love for melody, trance and improvisation - three fundamental principles of playing together. Together, they travel in Spaces - to explode of love from planet to planet - then to ecstasy and finally landing to hold back time.

„And then there was Parisian altoist Thomas de Pourquery and his Sun Ra project, Supersonic, who headlined on Saturday and pretty much blew everything else out of the water. Their gig, at the RNCM, was total madness: an absurd and absurdly brilliant mashup of jazz, blues, grunge, kitsch electronica and slapstick comedy (…)."
